CONVEYOR AIR-BLAST SYSTEMS
Conveyorized Blasting
Guyson's range of conveyorized blast machines includes flat belt systems like the Model TR-900, a reciprocating Model TRR-900 conveyor blast system for return-to-operator processing of components, the unique Model 700-B1 opposing V-belt conveyor system for high speed in-line blasting of small parts and roller conveyor machines like the Model RC-800 for in-line blast treatment of long sections of tube or bar material.
While some conveyor blast systems may be loaded and unloaded by hand, it is common for the automatic through-feed blast machines to interface with other in-plant material handling equipment and operate unmanned. Feed rates depend on the total surface area to be blasted and the number of blast guns, whether suction-blast or pressure-blast nozzles.
PLC control enables the use of electronic sensors to monitor key functions of the automated blasting system and alert an attendant before the continuous surface treatment process is compromised or interrupted. The blast guns can be automatically turned off when no components are present, to eliminate waste of energy and unnecessary wear-and-tear on the machine.
