MODEL 300/28 CYCLONE

Guyson’s high-capacity 300/28 cyclone media reclaimer is designed for use with automated blasting systems that have multiple pressure-blast nozzles or a large number of suction-blast guns. It can separate dust and fines from a high volume of media in production blasting.

The Model 300/28 is robustly fabricated from 1/8-inch thick continuously welded sheet steel and is mounted in a rigid welded 36-inch x 48-inch angle iron frame. The cyclone is constructed so that each section – blower, housing, body, cone and media hopper – can be separately replaced. This construction also facilitates re-lining of the cyclone body.

In a typical suction-blast installation the 300/28 cyclone has a height of 142 inches, while in a typical pressure-blast installation, the cyclone stack-up with a large pressure vessel has an overall height of 168 inches and a 48 × 48-inch footprint.

The powered version of the 300/28 cyclone separator has a 3.0 HP TEFC AC motor driving an appropriate sized impeller to generate a powerful and adjustable reclaim air flow that is capable of pneumatically conveying media, dust and fines up to the inlet of the 28-inch diameter cyclone body.

The standard Model 300/28 has an abrasion-resistant 1/4-inch thick urethane rubber lining of the inlet elbow and the entire cyclone body and cone. A number of reclaim system options are available to customize the 300/28 for special application requirements.
