Wet blasting systems using bead media are capable of producing very attractive surface finishes that are much smoother than could be expected from dry blast processing. Tool marks and superficial scratches are quickly blended-in during wet bead blasting, and wet blast systems are used in many mold and die manufacturing or repair operations for pre-polish treatment to quickly lower the roughness (Ra) of precision machined components. Automated and robotic wet blast systems can consistently produce the desired finish with a high degree of uniformity.
