For functional safety system design, redundancy and reliability trump other considerations in the integration of subsystems, such as interlocks, limit switches, sensors and light curtains. In accordance with EN ISO 13849-1:2008, the integrity and architecture of each Guyson safety system is analyzed to determine the Performance Level required, reliability data for each element and the quality of Diagnostic Coverage, incorporating dual channels and greater monitoring for Category 3 and 4 systems. Each system is subject to a thorough Risk Assessment. Guyson NEMA 12 control panels are designed to comply with UL 508A or UL 698A standards. All Guyson robotic installations conform to ANSI/RIA R15.06-2012, as well as ISO 10218-1 and ISO 10218-2 safety standards.
